In a city like Winnipeg, it’s no wonder many families are stuck renting out their spare rooms.
They’ve found themselves paying upwards of $1,000 for beds, while others are struggling to find beds they can afford to rent for under $200 a night.
“You can find a bed for $400.
You can find the same bed for a lot less,” says Rachel Dickson, president of Dickson Property Group.
“The reality is, you can’t afford to live in a place like that.”
And that’s where a cheaper, smaller bed comes in.
The Canadian Broadcasting Company has teamed up with Winnipeg’s local furniture retailer, B.C. Furniture, to bring you the best bed deals on the market.
The company offers a range of bed frames and mattresses that come in a wide range of sizes, from 30-inches to 120-inches.
Dickson says her company has been offering these options for several years, but in recent years, they’ve become increasingly popular.
