A new bike framebag deal with the UAE has opened up a whole new avenue of bike transportation options for Dubai residents.
The UAE has announced a total of $20m in investment in the bike frame box.
The project will create 10 new jobs and help Dubai residents who have been left behind by the current infrastructure.
Dubai Municipality Minister Sheikh Ahmed Bin Rashid al-Maktoum said in a statement: “We have announced a $20-million investment in a new bike bike frame container project in the capital, Dubai, with the aim of creating jobs and creating jobs for residents in the UAE.
This project will bring new opportunities for the citizens of the UAE and will improve the infrastructure in Dubai by increasing the capacity of the city, and improving the lives of its residents.”
The bike frame bags will feature a carbon fibre and aluminium frame with a capacity of 1kg (2.5lbs).
The bags will also include a solar panel, an electric motor and an electric scooter battery, according to a press release from the UAE government.
The new project comes on the heels of a $2.6m bike frame package announced by Dubai Municipality earlier this month.
Dubay Municipality also announced that it will also provide free public transit to the capital from all major cities, including the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, beginning on March 1.
